| Market comment |
|
|
US indices ended slightly higher on Wednesday. The S&P 500 reached its highest closing level since September 19, 2008 and the Nasdaq Composite its highest since December 31, 2007. The banks and diversified financials sectors led the market up while stocks in the real estate and consumer services sectors were under pressure.
European markets should trade on the upside today.
