The latest U.S. official jobs report said the economy added just 73,000 non-farm payrolls in July, in contrast to an addition of 104,000 jobs expected, with the jobless rate ticking up to 4.2%.

The prior two non-farm payroll readings were also revised down sharply, indicating the labor market has been slowing down over the past three months.

Meanwhile, the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) manufacturing index retreated to 48.0 in July (vs 49.4 expected, 49.0 in June).

The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) Group's “FedWatch” tool, a popular rate-move expectation gauge, showed an 89% probability of a 25-basis-point rate cut by the Federal Reserve in September, up from 47% surveyed at the end of July.

Before the Fed decides on interest rates on September 18, investors should be focusing on another set of major inflation data to be released on Tuesday (August 12).

According to Trading Central's "Economic Insight", the U.S. Inflation Rate is expected to remain stable at 2.7% year on year in July.

In July, within one hour from the release of the U.S. Inflation Report, EUR/USD moved in a range of 29.1 pips during the 1 hour following the event, ending 1.6 pips higher.
