The official U.S. jobs report for December, to be released on Friday (January 9), should be investors’ focus for the coming week.

‍

According to the forecast of Trading Central's "Economic Insight", the U.S. economy is expected to add 12,000 Non-farm Payrolls in December, with the jobless rate ticking up to 4.7%.

‍

Meanwhile, the U.S. Federal Reserve is widely expected to make two quarter-point interest-rate cuts in 2026.

The Fed will announce its first rate decision this year on Wednesday, January 28.
